The SAFC is made by Apex-i. Any search here or on any search engine would have given you more than enough information. Also, it won't help at part throttle situations.

Back on topic...

I would go to a place like Autozone and get your CEL read, so you just aren't guessing at what the problem is. Second, go get a replacement gas cap that is made for your car, and will give you the proper seal.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (javageek)</div><div class='quotemain'>Nope, Super Air Fuel Control. The SAFC's are piggy-back fuel controllers.</div> LOL, yeah sorry....was, well am really tired....my bad.

And yeah the CEL can be caused by improper pressure on the tank which is what one of the recalls for the first gen was.

update on this...
the hesitation WAS caused from a spark plug, all of my plugs were worn and one was really bad. you all said that everyone has this hesitation..i don't anymore, if you think your engine does that when you step on it then i would say wait for your engine to cool down and get some new plugs!

^^ Owned!

When I replaced my plugs and Ignition wires, it felt like I had a new car.
I dont have that problem anymore.

I had that hesitation too... VERY annoying.. Put in Nology Hotwires and new plugs... Problem GONE. Like x7xstring says, it feels like a new car.. Much more responsive
