misfire?
The SAFC is made by Apex-i. Any search here or on any search engine would have given you more than enough information. Also, it won't help at part throttle situations.

I would go to a place like Autozone and get your CEL read, so you just aren't guessing at what the problem is. Second, go get a replacement gas cap that is made for your car, and will give you the proper seal.

And yeah the CEL can be caused by improper pressure on the tank which is what one of the recalls for the first gen was.

update on this...
the hesitation WAS caused from a spark plug, all of my plugs were worn and one was really bad. you all said that everyone has this hesitation..i don't anymore, if you think your engine does that when you step on it then i would say wait for your engine to cool down and get some new plugs!
