god no... not yet, the paint and clear on there is/was a 5000 dollar job, according to the guy who did it for 2600. he absolutely loved the car, when it was resprayed in 2001,
i got into a little fender bender and the insurance assessor who came to look at the damage initially estimated 600 in damage until he saw the US navy sticker on it, and he asks me, you in the navy, i told him i was on my way to bootcamp in a month, and coincidentally he had a daughter in bootcamp at the time, so he must of got sentimental, and after he heard i was leaving for bootcamp he blatantly said, oh you have a little scratch here, and another one here, and here, and here, and here, until he cut me a check on the spot for 2600 !!!
i gave the whole check to the painter and said what can you do with this ?!! he was like just you wait ! when you get back from bootcamp shes gonna be nice and shiney! and sure as sh*t, 10 years later, the paint is still quite amazing ! he made the Cobalt a little more purple and darker. but not too different. i dont know what paint or clear he used, but it must of been top notch.
