I have the same. And my father's car does it. And my previous car did that.

I think it's ok.

if you're cruising to a stop and take the car out of gear, the rpms will rest above 1000 rpms to help synchronize the gear shift in case you downshift. once you come to a complete stop, the rpms rest to normal idle. that's the way it works, unless i'm misreading your problem.

My car does the same thing, it'll float momentarily above a grand in neutral when I'm slowing down and eventually drop to idle.

Thats normal. laugh.gif Like stated before, it does that to help synchronize gear shifts for those who do not rev match when downshifting to a much higher RPM.

For example, if your going 80 in 5th gear, and put it in neutral, it will float to around 2400, stop for a second, drop to 1600, stop for a second or two, and then drop to around 1200, then settle in neutral.

It could also be to make brake booster work better.

You got nothing to worry about, that's normal too.

You mean like before your mods?? Cause that could be the cause too. The ECU is seeing a little bit more air and is prolly playing it safe as not to mess up the tranny at all. [/$0.02]
