alot of people talk about getting 1.8 cams. this is done as a performance upgrade correct? Im guessing we are talking about OEM cams not aftermarket? so if I already drive a 1.8 what do i move to for an upgrade?

With exhaust and headers/CAI, I'd get a BBTB too. That's something you are going to need.

yeah I agree with Redz. Either a BBTB or a high flow cat.

I swear I agree with Random that HMAService used to say that a 2.0 exhaust cam would help the 1.8... but they changed it last time I checked.

Just becarfull and don't change your OEM 1.8 Intake CAM for the GT CAM, You will ony gain like 4-5HP and 100 bucks for that conversion is not a good business to do....

What about pulleys??? the HP gain would be great for the price it cost...

Once you get the BBTB, make plans on getting the AirRam intake manifold.

What about a 1.6L intake cam??

What would that do? I would think it would have the same effect that the 1.8 does for the 2.0. dunno.gif
