here we have 1.6 beta in elantras and tib

2.25, 4-2-1 headers should be right with 1600

-cai
-syntethic oil
-custom bored tbim
-421 2,25 header exaust
-lowering head to increase 9.8:1 compression to 11
-well tuned fuel map with chip

are the most frequently mods
here adopted.

here 1.6 beta is quoted for 96 hp at wheel
previous mod should be enough for 12-20 more whp.

some tuned shop use TURBO from LANCIA DELTA
with slight overboost 5 psi.

howewer exhaust BOLT PATTERN between 1.6 and 2.0 is identical. GUARANTEED we measured

here is common to replace 205 50 15 tires with 195 50 15 after lowering the car: low profile, better final ratio.

i read somewhere that 1.6 and 2.0 IM was identical
i think it is wrong:
MAINFOLD in 1.6 beta (G4GR) have 1.6 printed!!!

i read somewhere about 1.6:
G4GR was the only beta 1.6
G4ED is a 1.6 alpha in new tib and elantras.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'>lantraluvr:
Hey random, if you have a B16 in your car, would you put in 2" pipes??</div>The B16 revs past 8000 RPM. It flows significanly more exhaust because of this, so no, for a B16, I would not go with a 2". However, the "beta" motors are torque motors. They design of the engine lends it itself to the bottom end. The larger the exhaust pipe, the lower the backpressure, too low of back pressure will kill your bottom end, and you loose your torque. I would stick with 2" exhaust on the 1.6L.
