So I finally got a job today, and my next mod is going to be headers. I am pretty sure I'm going to get the K-spec GT Headers, but I would like to hear some imput if anyone disagrees with this choice for any reason. Should I go for those or do you think I should get a different header?

I think they are too expensive for the power they might make. I say get OBX headers and Jet-Hot them.

I've heard that OBX has bad fitment, and I don't want to go cheap, because I'm going full out N/A.

I've installed 4 OBX headers and never had a single problem with them.

With GT headers you will need to trim your head bolt and remove a pass side fan. Now that's a problem.

For the money, its not worth it... at least in my opinion. Granted I've never driven a car with them, but you can't expect them to make much more power than an OBX design on an I-4.

Pay $200 for OBX and get everything situated with those, and invest the $400 elsewhere. If your going all out (money not an issue) then go with them.

My only issue is that people keep saying they install their OBX's and get a CEL because you need to drill another hole and add an O2 sensor, I'm not saying I'm married to the K-spec GT's, I'm just not sure I would want to go with a header that many people have complained about.

But if that's not a problem, then I'd much rather get my headers&exhaust together rather than spend 700 on a pair of headers.

ive had a obx header for about 3 years

no cel

(well after i installed the cat that is)

i would buy them again if i had to

i cant see a reason to spend twice as much for a header that will prob net you a extra 2 hp over the obx ones

For $450 I would say get them over OBX. They look HOT, and (not proven but..) we are pretty sure will perform better. No buzz, no CEL. Only thing is you will need slimline fans and you should be handy because there are fitment issues.

Or you could go the easy way and just get OBX, but IMO $450's a good deal. I'd never spend $700 on headers unless I was going ALL OUT n/a and had my mind set on that.

But if your budget was $700, I would get the exhaust cam+ECU from REAL, that's a 15hp gain.
