if your's was a carbed car.. I would swear it was a fuel starvation problem. It still might be. As you run up through the gears at WOT.. you put a great demand on the fuel system to sustain the needs of the engine. The faster your engine turns, the more fuel it needs. After a couple of gears doing that, if you fuel flow is not up to snuff, you start losing pressure and flow... like your problem, each gear has a lower RPM power loss until your car cannot accelerate anymore in any gear.

have you replaced your fuel filter?

1. Stop quoting the post directly above yours.

2. How many miles, for the 5th time, are on your tibby? If it's still under warranty, take it back to Hyundai and get a new TPS for free.

3. Have you had your Check Engine Lights scanned yet??? If not, GO GET IT DONE.

4. Take a picture of your engine bay and post it here. This way we can verify that your MAF sensor is on correctly and that your IAT sensor is in place. LOTS of folks come in here and tell us everything is allright, then post a picture and there is a glaring obvious problem.

5. I double checked and didn't see it, but do you have a check engine light?

shimanomtber87, no need to quote whole post, just to address to somebody. Just put his name.
If you want to answere on some sentenses it's better just to quote those sentences.
Also we have a rule here - do not quote the post right above yours, just put "^^^" at the begining of your post.

It makes forum nice, clean and easy to read.

Okay, you answered about 1/2 of the recent questions.

How about this batch of questions?

1. Are you the orginal owner?

2. Take a picture of your engine bay and post it here. This way we can verify that your MAF sensor is on correctly and that your IAT sensor is in place. LOTS of folks come in here and tell us everything is allright, then post a picture and there is a glaring obvious problem.

Again, you say the MAF is on correctly, we've had members swear that it is for months, then take the car into the dealer to find out that the MAF WAS ON WRONG. So, take a pic and post it here. It'll help us diagnose anything else.

3. I don't see you saying you have an aftermarket intake, do you? CAI? If so, what model? Did you put the IAT sensor back into place?

Answer those 3 questions next.

^^^

No need to get mad at each other.

1. No im not the original owner.

2. I will try to take a pic of the maf as soon as i can...my dad's digital camera is at his work and i don't have a camera phone.

3. Yes i do have a cai (AEM). Im not sure what the IAT sensor is, but I'm assuming that it plugs into the cai. If so, then i do have it in.

Again i will try to post a pic.

IAT- it's the little cylendrical sensor that goes about halfway down on the intake.

You need to check to make sure your MAF sensor's arrow for air flow is not pointing the wrong direction. It's the most common problem we see here because it goes on 2 ways.

No ones mad, just trying to help you out.

1. When you put the IAT sensor in, did you use the grommet from the OEM box or is it just hanging in there?

2. Get a pic of the whole engine bay when you can, not just the MAF. It tells volumes.
