GK vs. RD1
Looking at getting a GK but I just love the RD1 so much, such a fun car to drive, but it's getting hard to find parts around here.
What would you say are the major differences in driving go, like does it still feel like your @$$ is scraping the ground when you drive? Does it still have the same sporty like feel to it? I'm looking for experience of any kind really.

Havent drove any RD so cant speak on that but I own a gk. Do you want the GT or base with the beta? I did own a j2 for a while so I can speak on the beta Idk if the driving experience is similar between the rd and j2. I will say driving the GK is fun. It is heavy, heavier then my j2. I feel like the beta would not move the gk like the v6 does but the beta is better for boosting. Oh and the v6 sounds sexy as f*ck! There is more of an aftermarket support for the gk. It is definitely sporty and I fell in love with the look of mine. The interior in nice and you feel like your driving a newer car than a late 90s model one. They can be found easley and have a good price range you'll get what you pay for. I got mine from a one owner unmodded with regular maintenance from the dealer with papers to show. I didn't regret getting mine and see the potential in it every time I look at it. Hope this helps.
Yeah, I'm looking for the beta 2 so I can boost it, however if I found a great deal on a gt I wouldn't pass it up. I would just make it growl with a nice intake/exhaust system.

I own both!
For looks (opinion), reliability, boosting, and straight line speed, I would take the RD without a doubt!
I personally love the looks of the RD over the GK, but I know most people out there love the GK more. I don't give a sh*t what others think about my RD, so it would be your call.
The problem with getting an RD now would be finding one in good shape. The plastic interior and engine wiring harness are most likely VERY brittle by now. So modding the engine will require you to get a new harness or rewire.
The problems I have with my V6 GK are the same problems everyone else has. Shitty clutch, shitty electronics, shitty performance unless you drop a ton of money in it, and heavy as a pig. Handles well though. The stock clutch doesn't even handle mild bolt-ons. My rear hatch switch, radio, a/c switch, and sunroof have all gone out. It's an electrical nightmare, which to me is not something you ever want to get into.
