just wondering how many gauges are available for a turbo set up? I know there is air/fuel ratio, boost, water temp, what else? i've look at my car and have found enough spots for 7 gauges. Are there that many gauges available and are they necessary or just dumb to have that many?

 

Water Gauge???? mmmmmm not sure about that.,...


But... you can get the Oil Pressure Gauge.... and EGT Gauge...

 

I dont think 7 is really nesscary, but like 3-4 should do u fine...

those are the only ones i can think of that are necessary

Why the Water Temperature??? The Tiby has this sensor already???? Unless you got a Turbo with Water/Oil Cooling.....

 

IAT = Intake Air Temp

 

Never heard of that one... I HAVE heard of intercooler tempeture gages.. There is an aftermarket one for the porsche turbo that with a two position switch, can tell you the air temp before AND after the intercooler.

have you ever seen your stock water temp gauge idle at any other spot besides halfway and zero?

the thing only has like 3 different ranges, which it calculates to be low, medium, or high. not accurate at all.

 

Ok.. good point......


But I really think that the three best gauge are Oil Temperature, Boost and EGT (or Air/Fuel)
