Did the F2 Evo tibs have a stiffer suspension compared to the base model RD1 or FX? In pics, it seems like F2's also sat a little lower to the ground.

i don't think so from what i have read over the years. only had additional 10 more hp with some emissions tweaks and the 1.8 cam. if any of the UK members cold verify this it would be nice.
love your sig!

It seems to sit lower due to having a front bumper that sat lower.
The only differences (that I can recall) are:
Backbox - Magnex oval rather than pea shooter.
cams - very similar to the 1.8 cams
Wheels - 16" 5 thick spokes
Front bumper - sits about an inch lower than the SE/FX
F2 Evo badges on the front wings and the boot

Its wasn't similar to the 1.8 cam, it was the 1.8 cam, factory fitted by Hyundai, also made it onto the German special, and the Turbulence in Korea.
Also features lambswool flooring and white F2 badged dials
Springs aren't supposed any lower, although a couple of UK club members have lowered them and didn't notice the drop as much as SE Gen1s or F2s.
Our UK site tuning guru used to work for Hyundai, and was part of the team behind the F2 (same power as SE) and F2-Evo road cars, and they had well over 200bhp NA out of the beta engine, but Hyundai wouldn't warrantee it, or pay the production costs of hand building everything. So only the cam was kept.

The previously mentioned German special (only 200 built) did have lowered suspension though
