Default Extra Buttons in the dash...

My 97 tibby has like 4 extra buttons that dont exacty push in.. i pulled them out and they have a wire harness running to it but there is nothing for the wires to connect to in the button they are just kinda snapped in there. i have a couple of questions..

1. what did they go to? (I only have 2 of those options and that is rear defrost and for lights.)
2. can i use them for other stuff such as neon switches?
3. HOW?! is there a DIY anywhere?

Thanks.

I think the top one is for the rear fogs that are on the coupes over the pond. I've thinking of a way to make them work as the other buttons do until I replaced my stock bumper with my Zefiro one which doesn't have fogs. So now I have that extra one. Is there a part from Hyundai that we can get to make that dead one function???

What buttons exactly do you mean?
In my Coupe I have on one side (right side) rear window defroster, and below that there are two buttons for the rear wiper and /rear wiper water injection; whilst I think the buttons on the left are for the Fog Lights and below that Cruise Control (which I don't have) right?

I know on mine I have on the right Rear Defrost, then two buttons for the rear wiper, then cruise. On the Left I have a blank (where the Rear Defrost is) and then another blank, (full instead of the two halves), and then fog lights.

Same thing on the other side but a reverse setup

like this-> -cluster- / <- like that.

Also, see the button for the rear wiper. It is not two buttons on the other side. Only one full one. So I actually have two dead switches as I'm sure Bugie has the same, more or less.

Might wanna see if you can just use the same switches on the other side. If so (You can do this with an RD2), you can just wire them up to what you want. Sand down the button so it's ALL white, put some lables on them with small stickers, paint over it black and pull off the lables.

Whammo, got your own custom buttons.
