Sounds like the flex pipe. Take it to a good muffler shop and hopefully they can weld the problem for you.

Default Direct Fire Ignition*UPDATE*

That is exactly what it is. They will need to weld a new piece of flex pipe in.

Not sure how your funds are but 99% of the aftermarket headers out there come with the flex pipe piece. So if you planned on getting headers down the road anyway it might be a good idea to bump up the project.

No you don't. Wait until you buy headers and then buy the part. Like Ultratibby said most aftermarket headers include a flex pipe. You're just wasting money if you get headers after you replace this part.

1. Everything has to be disconnected or cut out before they weld the new flex pipe. = $60/hour labour

2. Everything has to come apart to install the new headers. = $60/hour labour

Altgether more expensive. If you do it all at the same time you'll save $$ in the end.

Wait a little bit and upgrade if you want to. Just think about that $$$$$

Take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld one in. I don't know how much flex pipe costs, but it shouldn't take them more than 30 minutes-hour to take off the header, wack off the old one, and tack on a new one. Probably cost you like 80 bucks to get it fixed.

It would be good Boogie if you could get a header. That way, you'll get a mandrel bent flex pipe that would help get you better flow.
