Exhaust Leak! Help me please!
Im not very bright when it comes to cars but i am trying to be. lol. there is a piece in the exhaust before the catalytic contverter that looks like its woven. There is a LOT of air coming out of it all around. more towards the front. it make my car very loud! is this supposed to leak like that? if not what is this piece called and where can i find it?
is there any other cars interchangable with that part??? i am gonna go to the junk yard. but they dont have tiburons there but they got a lot of other hyundais.
Not sure how your funds are but 99% of the aftermarket headers out there come with the flex pipe piece. So if you planned on getting headers down the road anyway it might be a good idea to bump up the project.
Yeah I want to SOO bad. i was looking at that. but my money is laughing at me. i hate dropping the money for that piece when in a couple of months i will be replacing anyway. but i gotta do it.

No you don't. Wait until you buy headers and then buy the part. Like Ultratibby said most aftermarket headers include a flex pipe. You're just wasting money if you get headers after you replace this part.
1. Everything has to be disconnected or cut out before they weld the new flex pipe. = $60/hour labour
2. Everything has to come apart to install the new headers. = $60/hour labour
Altgether more expensive. If you do it all at the same time you'll save $$ in the end.
Wait a little bit and upgrade if you want to. Just think about that $$$$$

Take it to an exhaust shop and have them weld one in. I don't know how much flex pipe costs, but it shouldn't take them more than 30 minutes-hour to take off the header, wack off the old one, and tack on a new one. Probably cost you like 80 bucks to get it fixed.
