Engine Sqeak :(
having seen several engines (not hyundai) that have had the belt break... I can tell you that all hell will break loose. When valves make contact with pistons.. three things can happen beyond the engine coming to a rapid halt.. Valves bend.. this is going to happen no matter what.. Valves can go THROUGH the piston.. time for a complete rebuild there... and the head of the valve can break off and lodge itself into the softer aluminum of the head and gouge both the piston and the cylinder walls... time for a new engine..

Not true guys, my brothers timing belt broke on his POS Dodge Caravan, V6, no bent valves or anything.
If you are going a normal speed or fast, yes, it's pretty much done for. If you are going slow, you could be lucky.

It depends on the engine. Some.. like the caravan.. are freewheeling.. there is enough clearance between the piston and the top of the head to allow the pistons and valves room to miss. Engines like the Beta do not have this much room. These are called "interference" engines.. simply because without the belt.. pistons and valves interfere with each other
Okay guys your starting to freak over nothing, it was on the bearing on the powerstering belt :S ... I bought some lithium greese from canadian tire and she's all good now tongue.gif. One thing though i still hear a little clicking noise .. Is this normal? It's really really hard to hear .. Thanks guys tongue.gif
Oh hells yeah oil is great, Just a little clicking sound i figured it was the valves. Thanks for the help though, Off the topic though REDZMAN do you have any pics of your car man? I'd love to check it out ..
