Engine Cutoff at highspeeds?
I've read on quite a few websites that the governor is set at 124 MPH. I've hit 128 before but when you're at those high speeds the speedometer is probably off by a few MPH...

Having done about 115 to 120 in my spider, I can attest that air is VERY hard at those speeds.
The problem with going faster in the auto.. while it's gearing is less "aggressive" it also has fewer gears.

I'm sure the speedo was off but back in 2001 I had my Tib up to 135mph. Now this was on a bit of a downhill but I was trying to keep up with a friend that was driving his 2000 Camaro SS... LOL I knew it was hopeless but it was fun to get my car goin that fast, and my friend was really impressed. He no longer made fun of my Tib!
