<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (hamhead)</div><div class='quotemain'>If this is his first EFI I don't see him getting anywhere near even a low-boost setup. 60's MOPARs and Tibs are far away from each other. tongue.gif Depends on where he lives as well. Tuning is hour and and a half away from me...</div>

heh, the tib is the first car I have owned with EFI.. and I am slowly mapping out what I want to do boost wise... unless you count the Bosch K jettronic in my 914 as being EFI.. it was more like a step up from carbs

I'm not expecting mucle car performance out of my little Tib, just a bit more get-up-an-go. I'd probably have a heart attack if I could even get the tires to spin. And although this isn't my first EFI (91 Daytona, p.o.s.) I'm still infinitely more comfortable with a carb.

Plus tuning is a problem, I don't have the paitence and here in Wyoming the tuner scene isn't exactly thriving. The best I've scene is a stock Civic with an ugly huge aftermarket spoiler and badly wired ground effects lighting.

You can easily spin the tires on your Tib. It isn't that hard. Once while cruising in 4th I stopped at a redlight. Well, when the light turned green, I pressed down on the throttle, and noticed I was barely starting to move. Me, being the retard I am, left it in 4th. Well, everyone behind me was honking, so I dropped it into 1st real fast, then tried to floor it. Needless to say there's still a nice set of tire tracks on that spot. wink1.gif

Maybe you should swap the auto for a 5speed?

or maybe the auto is what you need for a drag, just make sure you upgrade the tranny like crazy, autos actually better for drag (atleast in mopars it is), but you have to make sure its a good tranny.

i've thought about a swap, but that's way too much work for little gain. Plus I'm horrible with manual tranny cars. I can shift a truck, but for some reason cars just hate me.
