Dyno runs of Port and Poilsh Head TIBURON!
I digged up an OLD Dyno run which i did three years ago when my car was an AUTO and Port and Polished my head as well as a valve job.A radius cut was done to the head which flows and works better than a 3 or 5 angle job.I also did my Intake manifold when i installed the bigger Shark Racing 58mm TB.
What you will see in the Dyno are 3 runs in Total.One of them is my Baseline run which was at 112WHP.Keep in mind my car was an AUTO and all i had was a CAI,4-2-1 Headers and 2.25 inch exhaust.My car stock does 100WHP with my 1.8L motor.A stock Auto 2.0L Tiburon will do 104-105WHP as Batlord did this for us a while ago.
I gained excatly 10WHP from Head work and the IM job.I had NO S-AFC at the time and if my car was a 5 speed or had a S-AFC my gains would of been more.

As you can see Just from the Head work alone is good to about 7WHP and the 58mm TB is good to about 2-3WHP.If your car is a 5 Speed or if i had a S-AFC the gains would of been Higher

At the time i did the head they also bored the Intake manifold as well.If im not mistaken RED ONLY gained about 3WHP from the Head work Alone and he had a S-AFC and a 5 speed with a 2.0L motor.Im thinking i had the HIGHEST gains being that a radius cut was down to the valves as opposed to a 3 or 5 angle job.
As i mentioned before if my car was a 2.0L,5 speed with S-AFC my gains would of been MORE NOTICEABLE smile.gif smile.gif

I dont have a site for an expalination but basically what it is,is where your valves go in is a SMOOTH 360 degree circle which is Bored out with a slight crease around the circle.Its kind of hard to explain but if you see a pic you would understand more.The shop that i had it done at STICTLY does Hot RODS and Muscle cars.When he did my Cylinder Head and valves it wasnt a WILD PORT job or else i could of lost performance considering my car was basically stock at the time but he ported and polished enough to get some pretty good gains.People fom the Florida and California bring their motors to him because he is VERY well known for his work.He told me about the radius cut and this is what he does to all his motors and seem to have to BEST gains as opposed to a 3 or 5 angle job. smile.gif smile.gif
