Dual Radiator Fan Operation With Stock Fans - Electrical Question
I am looking at trying to have the AC fan come on with the main radiator fan. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be an easy way to do that, as the main fan has the relay cutting its power, while the AC fan has the relay stopping the connection to ground. Has anyone done this mod on their car? I assume with the FAL fans, they come standard as a two fan operation, with the option to have it do one main and one AC?

do it like this.

you need another relay. the red lines are those you'll have to add.
or if you want them both to come on at the same time connect pin 3 on both relays (black/white wire to green wire).

I hate it when I can't find something that I've found before. I believe all the wire sizes in HMA electrical drawings are based off of 12 AWG, is that correct?? So in the above drawings what size would the .3 wires (relay coil wires) be, 16 or 18 AWG?? I have an idea for a quick and easy way to implement this, and the smaller the wire the better.

are you using hyundai parts or radio shack (or somewhere else) parts? The reason I ask is beause the wiring for a relay is different per coil. You should be able to get away with 16 or 18 AWG wire.
If you buy one of these at radio shack it will work just fine. They're readily availble at every radio shack and the price isn't too bad. http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.js...rentPage=family
I'm running 2 of these in my car. They draw only 160mA so the minimum coil wire size is *29* AWG! 18 will work fine for coil power. For power wires, go ahead and use something beefier, like 16 - 10 awg. The last thing you want is to burn a wire. The bigger the better. Without cutting and measuring the power wire, it looks like 14 AWG to the fans.
