Okay here's the question.. I rememeber a while back ago we were talking about the cuda kit for the RD2 and one of the things people didn't like was the fact of dual exhaust setup.

One of the turn off's from dual exhaust was that there was a loss in power correct? Due to less back pressure? Okay heres the question ... If the GK with the 4 cyl engine has dual exhaust does it mean it's loosing power? Or is there something i'm missing here...?

Meah this could be super noob ... if soo i open the firing range ... lol.gif

just use smaller piping, or just boost so you dont want back pressure smile.gif

Dweet = Obsessed with boost ... lol.gif
I was just wondering all .. If you ripped out what a gk has and put in a single catback i wonder if you would have more power?

wouldn't be that loud with a turbo... remember a turbo presents a huge exhause restriction and cuts down the noise alot. my elantra is really quiet although it has a 2.5" turboback exhaust. And its just mild steel piping with a Apex'i N1 muffler on the end

You could probably run duals if you used smaller piping from the rear Y back.. if you are running 2 1/2 inch exhaust.. maybe dropping to 2 inch from the y back would not kill your exhaust flow too much...

From what I've heard from others that have this setup, the drop in power isn't even noticable........You would probably notice more of a drop when you turn on your A/C!

Uhm, I dunno mang, I've heard of 2 folks doing it on a Tib, one went back to single because they lost SO much on the low end, not to mention they couldn't idle. The other posted like 4 times and that was it.
