Cylinder 1 and 4 Misfire detected
I drive a 2001 Hyundai Tiburon (RD2) and i've been having my "engine" light on for a couple of weeks now, maybe a month at this point. I've noticed that the "check engine" light turns on but at times it turn off until I accidently rev the engine a little too much and the light comes back on. I really hate seeing the light on and I don't know what the issue could be
ps: I've changed the Spark Plugs and ignition coil, the wire tubes seem to be in good condition so I don't think that's the issue. Could it be a faulty sensor?

The spark plug wires are what you should have changed first! They are inexpensive and easier than plugs or the ignition coil. Even a small pinhole in a spark plug wire is enough to foul up the ignition system, and they are very hard to see if you don't know what sort of thing to look for.
New NGK plug wites bought, they seem to have no effect on the engine. Light turned off when I started the car today but as I drove it the light came back on. Any other advise?
Since cylinders 1 and 4 are misfiring, I think you were on track to at least test the coil. They should be one of the channels of your 2 channel igniter. I'd dig deeper. Any chance you have an extra used ecu that you know is good? The igniter for the coils are driven inside the OEM Ecu. I wonder if one of those igniters is going south, that could be your problem as well. They usually go out rather then die off, but I suppose it could happen slowly.
