hey guys, sorry i keep asking questions but i really love my car and you guys know about them better then anyone else.
So heres the situation, I got a 150 dollar visa gift card for christmas. Since i cant take the cash off and put it with the money im using to pay off my car, i figure i should put it into the tib. Ive made a few bad impulse decisions lately with money. For instance i bought a audiovox flip up dvd head unit that i dont want to put the money or time into installing. And today i bought 6 and half inch nitro door speakers to save til when i get my sound system. So what should i use this 150 on?
1. i can take it to the mechanic and get the dent out of the wheel well out.
2. i can possible buy a few things to enhance the performance? any ideas?
3. maybe i should put money into a sound system?
I really dont know, im a confused 17 year old. Someone please shed some light on the situation. Sorry to keep bothering everyone, thanks guys.

Honestly, my opinion is to go with the body work. No matter what you do internally with your car, the exterior will always get to ya.

It does to me anyways.

I'd like to see a picture of your car and list of what you've done. Maybe then we could guide you in the right direction.

i havent been able to do much to it yet because i need to pay it off, but i put on new rain x windshield wipers, replaced the tail lights so that they passed inspection, put in an alpine head unit, and put in xenon head lights

how much would it approximately cost to fix this up? any idea?

ah, I saw your pics in the other thread. Didn't put the names together.

If the fender bothers you and always in the back of your mind, get it fixed. Since money is tight, I'd either fix the outside to make it perfect, or get I.C.E. to enjoy every day.

likeyoumeanit, i meant that there aren't many "important" things you can do to a car for $150

for the price to repair that fender you would proably be better off to buy a completely new one and then wait for the money to pile back up for paint. a new fender usually runs around 170 and since you live in Iowa, you know how much they love to use road salt.

I totally remember how it was to want to do things on your ride as a teenager, friggin sucked. hell i am twice that old now and hate it when i can't do something i want to do to my ride.

if you go and buy a new front fender, before you start anothern thread about it...the fenders from a 97-99 will fit your ride also.

lol i live in nj not iowa, but regardless road salt is a factor

my plan is to go to a mechanic tomorrow and get a quote...if its more then 150 ill leave it be, it really doesnt bother me too much

then id either start working on performance or get a cheap sound system, i found a few i was interested in on craigslist

by the way guys i attempted to change my oil for the first time today, bought the oil, and filter but the autozone by me didnt have the correct gasket so it will have to wait another few days
