I had a similar problem with my 2000 Tiburon and after a couple of days of the dealership replacing the TPS and IAC they found out the the pins on the ECM harness were loose. Changed from a $800 repair to a $200 repair

. It was a great day!

Record your problem, just be careful doing so. Sounds like a transmission problem to me.
