Default beta 2 5 spd transmission

Long time no post, probably since the rdtiburon days... Anyway I did some searching for a transmission swap thread, going from the stock beta 1 trans in rd2 tiburons and swapping in a beta 2 trans from and elantra gt. I remember there being a slight modification, but i cant remember if there was anything else. Any clue what happened to this thread or if there is newer info on this?

only thing you have to do is grind off a slight bit of the casing, so the rd mounts will fit. the rest is direct swap. i believe it was optimo that did a write up...so i know its old thread, because he has a diff tib now. it was contained in his beta2 swap thread i believe. he did both at once
