I've already got the C.A.I., what other mods give you decent hp before you take the giant step up to a turbo??

Or just get your 2.5" mandrel exhaust done. You can use it on the turbo too.

 

the only thing that would give you a very noticeable of a gain right away would be nitrous. but do you want to stay NA or are you planning on boosting?

 

Well firstly I wasnt too sure on nitrous only because a guy who lives around the corner from me whos got a Zx2 lost his license for a year because he was caught using it. Also, I thought you had to mod the engine first to make it "able" to handle the shot of nitrous? I plan on boosting the car eventually, but thats coming a little later, maybe next years income tax can handle it. Until then, I want some hp... preferably something off the line. I really enjoy spinnin the tires.

Good point. nitrous is bad idea for you. especially if youre going to use it on the street. youll probably get pulled over and followed enough. but for engine mod-- airram and throttle body, maybe spend like 80-100 for used obx headers and call it a day. other than that id save the money. or if you HAVE to spend it--spend it on suspension. no point in spendin money on NA mods when your goin to boost.

PRE BOOST MODS:
Clutch if you have a manual
Exhaust
Throttle Body
Airram
Fuel Pump (if you decide to do nitrous youll want this)

With those things youll have a good head start on a turbo setup. I know theres a few more but im really tired right now. those are good things to start with though. Oh, suspension mods = fing02.gif

why the hell would you want more power just too loose traction?

if you wanna burnout easily get some of the 4 for a hundred tires off pepboys and smoke them until they pop
