About a week ago(stupid me) i left lights on when left the car and went to work.. so, 12 hours later, i found my car with kinda discharged battery(was surprised, expected to have someone to jump me)....

On tuesday took car to the pepboys, to take a look at the bearings...nothing was found.

Since then, car seems to have some juice leak. Battery is dying all the time. TO start the car i have to jump it - then it starts just fine. After drove it couple hours, turn off the car- battery is fine. In the morning - same thing. Battery is dead.

Question: Could pepboys screw up my car? could be the battery killed by the previous discharge? could they just leave something open or on that did discharge battery, and it got killed?

Or should i look for something else...some other reason? sad.gif

your battery just isn't holding a charge, most likely as a result of bein drained for 12 hours.

you need a new battery. and no, its not cuz of Pep Boys

maybe you still have lights on? lmao.gif joke.gif

have you checked water level in the battery? if it's low it could be the cause of not holding the charge.

you can check power drain:
turn everything off in your car, then disconnect one terminal from the battery (-), use ampermeter between disconnected terminal and (-) terminal of the battery and look at the ampermeter. Number should be close to 0.

A week ago my battery just stopped working, just died. I started car in the morning like usual, but during the day engine just stopped. So I bought Ukrainian battery, cause it's cheap and they give 2 years warranty, whereas expensive Bosch batteries have only 1 year.

I know that OEM battery from Daewoo Espero kick azz! Batery from the factory works fine for 7 years!!! But where to get that...

I would agree with the other 2 on this thread. Get an Oddessey or an Optima. And you might want to also get your alternator tested maybe its not charging at a high enough amprage....

How many miles have you gone with your battery? I know the stock Hyundai solite battery's are sporatic in performance, I've had mine for almost five years for about 68k miles till it died, while others were not so lucky.

Also, if you're short on cash, try charging the battery up on a slow trickle charger.

Also do a load test / find out how much CCA's it's still got left.
