Anyone make an Intake for 03 Tiburon V6?
Hi everyone,
My dad just bought a new Tiburon, V6, Auto, and I was wondered if anyone maked an intake for these cars yet? I already took apart his stock setup to see what all could be done, and a cold air intake looks very doable. I told him I could easily make one out of Ferco couplers and PVC pipe(paint it black or body color), but he's not as eager to start "making" stuff for his new baby wink Anyone tried this yet, or am I gonna have to be the pioneer?

Great pics Random, I really liked KayJai's mandrel bent idea too. If I make one it will be like KayJai's because I'd want to replace all of the stock intake track. The only thing I would do different is get the crank case bung welded on for saftey sake, and so there's not a nut inside the intake disrupting the airflow. I'd probably mount the airfilter high, or shield the filter so I don't have to get the AEM bypass filter too. PVC would work, and I have used it on other intakes in the past. The only problem I see in this application is getting it through the opening in the fender. Like someone else posted in that thread though, you could use a fernco coupler through the opening since it's flexible. Either way I'm not cutting metal, because I want to be able to switch out the intake to stock if it ever has to go back to the dealer for repairs.
Thanks for the help guys, hopefully Dad's car will be a bit stronger and sound a little throatier in the near future
