Default 08 Tiburon Supercharger/Turbocharger

So a buddy of mine just picked up an 08 SE V6 6-Speed Tiburon after trading in his truck. He has some extra cash and wants to put in a turbo or supercharger for some more performance. He plans on getting a stronger clutch to hold the power and while I like turbos, I also don't do much work on anything with less then 8 cylinders haha. I've been looking and it's hard to find good prices on manifolds (wastegated) and I don't really know what size turbos are good for these little cars. I know i would like to run an intercooler but is there space behind the bumper? If anyone has suggestions for turbo brand, size, A/R or if anyone has any good intercoolers to use I'm looking or some help.. Biggest issue seems like it is finding good manifolds. But also going to say that if superchargers are better on these cars then I have no issues going that direction, any good brands or kits? I'm new to these cars so take it easy on me haha. Also would like intercooled supercharger if it is possible, I know it's just plain better having cooler air. Any suggestions or links are more then welcome and I would love both! Thank you

The 6 cylinder guys usually go with an NGM (Next Generation Motorsports) supercharger. You can get them in a few different stages.

You can build a turbo system for the V6, but it usually is pretty expensive. Hit up TurboSocks for more info. He can help build a custom turbo kit for the car:

He's a vendor on here too, so he'll be able to answer any questions you have.

Alpine used to make Supercharger kits too for the GK, but they have been discontinued.

You might be able to find someone who is selling one used, or hit up Next Gen Motorsports and see what they have. Good luck.

Alot of superchargers for the GK have been discontinued like Visionz said. It will be alot easier to get a turbo set up but it will cost quite a bit more than a supercharger.

Alpine superchargers are mythical unicorns. They're nearly impossible to find for the GK guys.

So if we did decide to run a turbo would it be smarter to run a satellite unit like under the rear fender? I know it takes more fab work and more tubing but I also know that there isn't much room for a turbo under the hood of a newer model anything. And I see that superchargers would be cheaper but would they give the same benefits? I know that super chargers don't move as much air. But also on our list are fuel mods, bigger exhaust tubing, and under drive pulleys. Anything else I should look for?
