Before loading the Hyundai Genesis PM580 onto the truck for the trip to Colorado, the Rhys Millen Racing crew polished up their new race car its final photo shoot. The tube-frame hill-climb special is now wearing its official Red Bull livery in preparation for Millen's record attempt on Sunday.
Millen will be doing his best to recapture the outright record that his father Rod held for 13 years and in the process hopes to become the first driver to ever get under 10 minutes for the "run to the clouds." Our man Drew Phillips will be on site in Colorado all weekend to provide us with coverage, so stay tuned for more beautiful pictures than you can shake a stick at.

i think it looks awesome. well balanced and not overdone.
only thing i really don't like about it is the fake headlights. i always thought face lights were exactly that--something you'd never ever see in rally. and the top vent could be yellow.
doesn't paint add weight? it's at least 15-20 pounds worth. to be honest, i liked it a lot in all black the best. thought it looked like the batmobile.

Yeah, but that paint job also paid for development of the car.
Cars without headlights look funny. Funnier than cars with fake headlights.

yeah you're right it probably is, but certainly not the blue.
so i'm hearding that Pikes Peak has been paved some more, making the chances for beating the 10 minute record better. that sort of blows.
also, when and what channel is this thing on? i can't find it anywhere!

It's not on any channel. Live internet coverage starts at 9:00am on Sunday though on the Pike's Peak Hill Climb website.
