Ive only done 2. The first was 72 GTO just remove, rebuild and replace along with the transmission and restoration of front 3/4 of car. The second was my beta2 into my 05 accent. Ive done alot of head replacements for my friends VW and my older 85 Audi's before they were sent to their graves. Unfortunately Im a heavy body man and spend most my days replacing sheet metal although my passion is with mechanics.

next up is Elantra tranny swap.

lets see here

first real mechanical work was beta swapping my 01 LC

continued with the engine in/out 4 or 5 times as sh*t broke and what have you

then helped pull the GA16 in my mate's sentra

pulled the engine and tranny on my X3

there's been other jobs like timing belts and that which are close to it, but not quite the whole way. imo its easier to replace an engine than to do something fiddly like a clutch, especially on cars that aren't as easy as our hyundais. mazda 626 comes to mind here.

Gotta be about 10-12 beta engine removals/installs

probably 6-8 transmission removals/installs

4 Auto to Manual conversions

Always wanted to tackle a manual to auto conversion...but never found a victim.
