How many swaps have you done in your life time, either on other Hyundai's or or totally different cars? It can be either with a whole different engine/tranny, or replaced it with an OEM one?

its not all the same car lol

ive done 5 or 6 transmissions on the turbo car (lost count, i think its 6 now with the current one)

rebuilt the motor on the turbo car

did a motor on the failwgn after intentionally blowing it up on nitrous

transmission on my old rd1

rest was friends/brothers sh*t (hyundai wise anyways)

i also forgot the motors i did for my old roommates cars

1 ford festiva engine (lol we didnt even have a hoist to pull this out, we got a long f*cking piece of pipe and pulled it out between the 2 of us, little known fact, those cars were actually made by kia)

1. mazda protege engine

1. toyota corolla transmission (cant remember year) after the dumb ass hit a rock in carlsbad and DROVE TO ABQ (300ish miles)KNOWING IT HAD A HOLE IN THE PAN

he attached a tin foil baking dish under the transmission and added 3 qts and figured it was ok to drive

not sure if this is concidered a "swap" although it was the same amount of work, but i did put a clutch in the maxima and believe me, youd LOVE how easy it is to do a hyundai trans if you ever did one of those

Man i'm 43..my first was in 1985, I was 17 and replaced my dodge omni motor, then chevetts,caravans,k-cars,clelebreties ( I remember using a tree for 3 of them lol)and more throughout my younger years..only 2 for myself in the last ten years, but I have helped many many..eg just unloaded a k series for a buds civic 2 days ago As I said before ,I'm by no means a mechanic!, just a maintenance guy who loves to tinker with stuff.
