intead of swapping engines isnt it possible just to have the engine bored over? wouldnt it be easier and more cost efficient? or can you not bore an import engine?

 

I'd say you can bore any engine. Even though the beta is as fast as the 4g63, why swap? Build on what you got and have fun with it.

 

well i was figuring why swap enigines like everyone else is to get more ponies why not just bore out what i have and go with it this way instead..my spectra i think i can turn into a real sleeper..even without boring it out..considering most people see kias and go *ok what a crap car*

 

Boring is not to popular with the import engines, stroking it is, 1.8L could probably stroke to a 2.2L more torque not as a rev happy.

a far as i know not a person on the planet has a boosted kia lol and what would stroking my engine consist of and how much$$$$? specs on a spectra 2k2 are 1.8l I4 126hp @6000 rpms 108 ft.lbs@4500 rpm
