Default Eagle Talon/Mitsu Eclipse w/ a Hyundai engine?

My friend and I were out looking for a car for him tonight, and we were checking out a 92 Eagle Talon. Of course, this is a twin of the Mitsu Eclipse.
Anyways, it was the TSi model, with the 4g63t, and AWD.
We opened the hood, and the cam cover said HYUNDAI on it.
I'm familiar with the fact that Hyundai used Mitsu engines in some of it's older models and that the 4g63t can be swapped into some Hyundais.
I've been trying to figure out why this engine had a Hyundai cam cover on it.
Engine swap? Maybe, but Hyundai never sold a car with the 4g63t in it... maybe the 4g63, but not the turbo model.
Did the previous owner need to replace the cam cover and used one from a Hyundai he found in a scrapyard?
This is really bugging me...
BTW, did Hyundai use the 4g63 in any of its cars? The Sonata maybe?

He probably replaced the valve cover for his car with a Hyundai one. They especially use the one from the 94-95 Elantra.... OR, the turbo engine busted and he swapped in a Hyundai N/A unit (very unlikely ) but possible. That way he can keep the turbo engine, upgrade it and put it in another car. People do that stuff all the time.

The Elantra (pre-96) had different variations of Mitsu motors. 1.8L (destroked 4G63/actually 4G67) and a 1.6L (4G61). Some early accents share the same engine as the mirage too.
