X3 tranys have a 3.84, LCs (1.5L) 3.65, RDs and Elantras 3.65. GKs have 4.055 FGRs.

to add, on another forum there was a rumor that the x3 tranny would pull the car down the quarter mile about .2 of a second quicker. no one ever had proof but, figured it was worth mentioning.

the x3 tranny probably only has a top speed of 112-115mph (depending on if you've modded your redline). also depends if you like riding around at 3k-3.5k doing 65mph on the highway. so depends what kind of 'racing' you were into.

I found a really cool gear simulator the other week if you guys are interested: http://webspace.webring.com/people/cz/z ... z28_6.html

I ran some numbers through it and made this chart. Apologies, the speeds are in km/h, I made this for an Australian forum. It assumes a rev limiter of 6550 RPM and 175/70/R13 tires.

The X3 is called an excel in Australia, and the LC got a 1.5 DOHC, but AFAIK there is no difference in gear ratios despite the variance in engines.
