Default 5spd swap...

i'm curious to know ...

if and when my auto goes to hell... i would consider a 5spd swap... lucky for me, the trans oil cooler mod seems to be doing a great job. no slipping.. all gripping.

i was wondering... will the speedo gear in the auto fit into the manual gearbox ? ??

if not, will i have to swap out the dash guages ? or at least the speedo guage?

has anyone done this swap? or know of a write-up on how to do it?

The speedo is electric. Driven off the tranny speed cable. Yes, you swap out that cable when going from Auto to manual, but since each tranny has it's own style of cable/sender, they autocompensate for the change.

No worries there.
