Stereo question
Hey guys....new Genesis owner here. Picked her up 2 weeks ago and I already have the modding bug. The first thing I would like to do is upgrade the stereo but I'm unsure on how to do this. The cd player/stereo is built in with the HVAC controls, so how would I put a new unit in the dash? And is there a way to put in a double din unit? I want to add one with a 7" screen that will let me know play movies and dvds. Thank you for any help or tips that show how to do it.

You could try something like this, but you would still be using the factory stereo

I saw that exact same thing for sale online last week, for like $20. I can't find it again, but it's out there.
Several people have been able to relocate a Nook Color at the bottom. Doing a 7" flip out isn't a good idea with this setup.
It's probably better to find someone with a uNavi setup. It's a monitor that replaces the top LCD. I don't know if they sell them new anymore.

PowerAxel USED to sell them. Not sure if they do anymore.

i would recommend using tools like metraonline.com it gives you everything you need for the genesis and i recommend their dash kits as well.. best fitting/quality on the market.
1. STEERING WHEEL CONT INTERFACE Model: ASWC
http://www.metraonline.com/part/ASWC
2. Dash Kit: Part #: 95-7339S
you can do a double din unit - Just make sure you get the right dash kit. ( 95's are typically for a double-din unit.. just make sure you get the right color to match your interior.)

3. Wiring Harness: Part #: 70-7303
http://www.metraonline.com/part/70-7303
* you may also need an antenna adapter.

-- your headunit will most likely come with bluetooth ;]
if you need more information try this site: (installer.com)

^^ highly recommended.
please feel free to message me if you have any questions.
