S2000 or Genesis
So the time is arriving for me to look for another car. I have priced them both out and it looks like its down to an S2000 with low miles or a 2011 genesis turbo base model. They have similar prices but Im going for the fun factor. Both RWD, but one is a convertible. Insurance will probably be the same on both. Does anybody have a non biased opinion of which to go for? I’ll still have my tib btw.

Right off the lot, I would say the s2k is going to be more fun. I think the hyundai would be better to live with everyday. If its an AP1 and you are anywhere near my height the genesis would be MUCH easier to live with for sure. If you are looking down the road? It is hard to not look at a car with boost as stock and not see it being easier to get power out of than a high strung N/a motor unless you have deep pockets.

It all really depands on what you have planned for the car. The S2000 as it sands is a great handeling car. Just do a basic suspension upgrade andyou'll have a killer track monster. Just remember that its a 2 seater.
The Genesis has no limitations as to what the f*ck you want to do with it. The power is there. Just do a basic reflash for a few $350 from Poweraxel and replace the suspension and thus you have one fun as f*ck drivers car with a dope ass warranty. And its a 2x2 meaning if you wanna f*ck in the back seats... YOU CAN!

I am only biased towards Volvos and German cars (hate 'em), but there is no bias in straight honest facts. S2k's are fun, nimble, fast, and Hondas are always build with good quality but for me they are played out, tiny, unsafe, and inconvenient. Genesis, you get a lot for your money, fuel efficiency, comfort, turbo...etc. The main thing I hate about it is the lack of hatch which is enough for me personally not to consider it at all. Otherwise, it's your option. Do you want high-revving thrills and inconvenience, or sporty value?

and an engine that is EXPENSIVE if it goes. Buddy of mine had the number 1 rod bearing explode, I guess you could call it an explosion.. taking the crank and just about everything with it. It couldn't just spin... nope. It went well beyond that. He had it rebuilt for 3 or 4k and that was using non s2k parts to make it a 2.4...

one thing to consider is re-sale. The S2000 will hold it's value MUCH better than the Genesis. Although Hyundai is getting better.
I would still buy the Genesis
