Default Plasti Dipped 19" Wheels on Black Gen ;)

I'm about to deploy (getting new wheels when I get back) and I was curious to see what this plasti dip would look like on my Gen. It came out better than I had imagined.

I used 3 cans of regular Black Plasti Dip. I put a lot of thin coats on because I didn't want it to drip anywhere and I was very patient haha. Overall, it took a couple of hours minus the prep time of cleaning, dismounting/remounting the wheels.

I let each coat dry for about 6-10 minutes (basically when it didn't look wet anymore). I let the finished product dry for about 2 hours before I put them back on my car. Enjoy!

This is the prep work.

Looks nice, cant go wrong with black rims. The close up shot though, the surface is very textured, hows it look in person?

It's not bad at all in person.

I just used my tire iron in my car to put the lugs back on. I went slow while I was tightening and it didn't peel at all.

I got mine from Lowes which only had black. There is a site, Dipyourcar that makes custom plasti dip colors. I thought about trying it but again this was just for fun because I'm getting new wheels as soon as I get back.
