I know regular flywheels, you can have them resurfaced when you change your clutch. But can you resurface dual mass ones? Is it basically the same process or is there more to it?
I have heard it is possible if you find someone that knows how to deal with the friction surfaces ability to move a bit. However, I would be worried that our DMFs spring is worn out and the effort would be wasted. Mine has a good bit of movement/noise to it at 70k, its not going back in. I am probably going to dump it and go with a SPEC flywheel/clutch once its time.
Idk if its possable.. Because the flywheel moves inside itself with springs. Im pretty sure there made to never be taken apart. so to machine something that cant be clapped down seems hard to me.
