Is it normal for a car to feel faster after break in periods?
I bought my car completely brand new with only 7 miles on it. I noticed after about 2000 or 2500 miles, it felt much faster than the day I drove it off the lot. Is that common with most cars now a days?

Car and Driver does 40,000 mile long term road tests. They publish performance specs when new and after 40,000 miles. It's not uncommon for vehicles to pick up a couple tenths in the quarter mile after 40,000 miles.
The most improvement I remember was from the RX8.
New it ran 0-60 in 6.6 and 1/4 in 15.1 @ 93mph
After 40k miles it ran 0-60 in 5.9 and 1/4 in 14.6 @ 96mph
