^I thought you were going to come to my rescue!
You guys don't see the window line, and the crease in the door? It's like Honda said let's do the same thing from the Genesis and put it on our van. If the new Odyssey had a Hyundai badge, I would certainly think it was part of the lineup.
Perhaps this is a better view of the edge that comes from the tail into the door.
Then you have the 2012 Azera taillights. Hehe... Call me crazy, I could be the only one seeing similarities here.

seriously... you see a GC and think minivan? Not Altima Coupe, G37, baby got back?
I can't think of many cars that don't have a crease in the door. The GK Tibs did, the RDs were more of a bubble than a crease.
I think the similarities pointed out can be noticed on many other vehicles.

Okay maybe I should have been more specific. I'm not looking at the entire car, of course not:
I'm just looking at this design cue. So nobody thinks that looks really similar? I must be in some different dimension. You must see it in person, perhaps then you will notice.
The RD has signature flowing curves that have never been done on any other car in automotive history. Even today it looks creative, vibrant, and exciting especially when light (like from neon signs) reflects off of the shape. It has some nice humps and you know it!
