Default 4500K or 6K HIDs

I cant decide if I want 4500K or 6000K HID's. Isnt 4500K more of a pure white and 6K has some blue to it? I want no blue at all.

I would go 4500. I have 6k, they're nice, but I've gotten to love that "looks stock, but it's not" taste.

I actually really like my D1S philips that are 5K and OEM quality. I would say they are ice white. The gen coupe comes with 4300-4500K AFAIK and they look fairly yellow in comparison.

But yes, 6K gets that slight blue tint to them and 8K a definite blue tone.

I just got my 8K HID conversion kit from Diode Dynamics. Installed them, and they didn't work. I guess I need the relay kit?

Hope this helps with your decision

I love my 6000k. They're very white, not really that much of a bluish tint. Each brand is going to be a slightly different color. I got mine from our forum vendor Diode Dynamics.

I've had both colors from Paul. The 6k are bright, but the 4,500k is certainly more white and more crisp. Both are good though.

I'm looking to get some 3000k HIDs for my headlights. I like this look.

All the JDM BOYZ around here roll with 8-10k hids, it is getting a little ridiculous. I'd probably get 4500k I were chasing a white display.

To answer the question, 4500k will provide the least blue.
