The next Hyundai Genesis Coupe is adding a new engine to its lineup along with all-wheel drive.



According to The Korean Car Blog, a test mule was spotted testing wearing a label that read, “3.3T 8AT AWD.” The new engine is a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 that will make somewhere around 480 hp. It will be linked to an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.



Though the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine was discontinued for the 2015 model year Genesis Coupe, it is expected to return when the new car is revealed. The current naturally aspirated 3.8-liter V6 is also expected to remain on the options list when the new car is revealed.



The new turbo V6 will be offered on the N performance version of the car which will also likely come outfitted with revised suspension and performance enhancing components.

Production on the new engine is slated to begin in 2017.
