I'm working on a program right now. It scans codes and gets mode $01 information (online sensors) so far. I'm working on gauges and data organization.

It will be a fully functional OBD scan tool which is designed for low-end laptops. Plug in the USB stick and use gauges or graphs. It's moving very slowly.

^^^my hero! Especially when you get it to work. Have you tried talking to the guys who work on T5_Suite with Saabs to see if you can use some of their work to work with our cars? They have a free source code for the trionic 5 and trionic 7 systems hence the name T5_suite. check it out.
Scantool.net is popular. I found a few apps on my Android last week that had OBD-II programs for your cell phone that will monitor stuff like boost, temps, speed, etc. through an OBD-II bluetooth dongle. You might want to check into those and see if they work with some of the laptop software also.
This is the app I found last week - Torque: http://ian-hawkins.com/ Search youtube to see if anyone's posted it in action.

I've got the software and cables from www.scantool.net and the software/cable from http://www.obd-2.com/
Both work well, but I like the software/interface from odb-2.com better.
If you pay shipping, I'll send ya the cables/software. Your pick scantool or ODB-2
First 2 people to drop me an email will get this offer.
