Hyundai Elantra Forum The Hyundai Elantra Forum. Later models (96-up) of this 4-door share their Beta engines and chassis with the Hyundai Tiburon. There ARE 2 bolts there. The second is easier to get to from underneath.
www.hmaservice.com does not have any schematics of the intake resonators for the 2001 elantra, but here is one for the tiburon, and from what I have seen, they are fairly close.

Yeah, I remember that second bolt was hard to find. So hard to find that I actually ripped the lower resonator off the bracket and then was like, "oh, oops."

then that second bolt was really easy to take out

Yeah, from underneath, that bolt is easier to get to. And save it! Those moutning points are perfect for nitrous control units, aftermarket engine units, extra bolt down for a CAI or turbo piping.

I found the lower resonator bolts were easiEST to get to by taking out the battery and removing the tray it sits on. Then it's all right there in all its easy-to-access splendour. Gives you the opportunity to inspect your battery and put another layer of corrosion protectant on that tray.
