Hyundai Elantra Forum The Hyundai Elantra Forum. Later models (96-up) of this 4-door share their Beta engines and chassis with the Hyundai Tiburon. Earlier Mistubishi-based Hyundai Elantras (92-95) are perfect candidates for the popular 4g63t motor swap, which turns the Hyundai Elantra into a real sleeper. These characteristics make the Hyundai Elantra a great car for those who want sports car performance with family car flexibility.

I love the car. I like the looks of it and definately the interior. Also, it should take boost better I believe since it has a MAP and not a MAFS

Sad story...

I love Wagons, I almost got a old Civic Wagon insted of my Tib! But, I really liked the Tiburon and figured "it's still a hatch!", then the day after I bought my car, we were up at the dealer and I saw the GT! I was yelling and screaming and stuff. The dealership wouldn't trade me! Oh well, my car is nice, but the GT, is sweeeeeeet. Purple gauges in there smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Doh! My bad... I saw 'General'...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
JVX: Damn... I still think the Tiburon is nice, tho... smile.gif At first, I liked the old headlights best, but the new ones are starting to grow on me smile.gif
I've only seen them in the showroom and on the lot so far, I never knew it had purple gauges... Bonus!
Thanks for the replies! Keep 'em comin!
The gauges in that car is so cool.
Yeah, I still like my car. I've gotten lots of compliments, even from Honda ricers, probably because I have Badtz Maru stickers on there (even if Random thinks he's a flea market Chilly Willy).
If your looking to buy a GT, what else are you considering?, because for the price no one else will give you that much.
I haven't really considered anything else at this point, If I get a new car, it'll be a while because I've got to first either convince myself to sell my Rodeo, or figure out a way to afford insurance on them both...
What really attracted me to this car:
Asthetics
Price
Warranty
Price
A/C (My mom just got a Sonata, and it blows ice cubes!)
Price
Versitility (Always have liked hatchbacks)
Price
Standard features! (Leather, etc...)
Oh, did I mention I liked the price?
That's a helluvalotta car for what you pay...
