Have you seen this interesting article? I think the car looks very nice, and the kind of concept I like, Stealth, like a wolf hidden on a ship's skin.
Autospeed Magazine/Supercharged Elantra
I Remember reading on that magazine, on an other article, that Beta engines are really repressed as stock, and that it was one of the engines from you could easily squeeze extra HP just by leting it breath better, and change "the chip".
What takes me to the point: What chip? I don't have it clear between ECU, and chips. Changing the "chip" is the same as reprograming the ECU?

Changing the chip is reprogamming the stock ECU, replacing the stock ECU, or a "piggyback" ECU.
In North America, we have no real "chip" options. You in Peru, should be able to use the "ICON" chip from Superchips. Zorro had one in her Coupe and Loved it!(till she got the supercharger!)

This may seem out of place. I works as a computer geek and have done programming in the past. Not adverse to mucking with chips. I just picked up the 2003. 2 questions. Is the kit out to reprogram the ecu for the 2003 and if so is it all assembly coding or what. In essence what do you need to know about it so you don't just kill the chip by erasing the programe in the first place.
Thanx in advance

Sorry, I don't have it since I'm not a subscriber for AutoSpeed Magazine. I just mentioned it because I found it very interesting (the piece that can be seen).
Sorry.
