Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

Nah you be safe with a stock engine, as long as you don't run nitrous more than like twice a month, You shouldn't run too big a shot of nitrous without getting new pistons, internal work, etc. If your really worried about your car and want to protect it at all cost, a very good kit, is Venom Nitrous, my friends has Venom on his Tiburon and he say it runs really good, and with Venom nitrous is all controlled with computers if i'm not mistaken, save the NoS for 5.0s, LS1s, and LT1s.

It's the install and the application that blow motors, not Nitrous. If he had it installed wrong, or used it on a crap motor, or used it at the wrong time (to low rpm), it could have easily blown his motor.

hell, you can blow a mack truck motor with a 50 shot if you are stupid with any of the above.

Turby fx, Nitrous twice a month???? Where did you get that nonsence? I used a 10 lb bottle in less than a week? Just be smart and make sure you follow the "rules" and you'll be fine.

hahah i agree. i used my bottle up within 1 day of the first fill up hehe. i use it up real fast. so far its been perfectly safe from what i can tell. hey random i punch the nitrous at about 2.5k-3k rpms you think that is ok?i dont want to be harming my engine and not know it.
thanks

3200rmp punch it then, its way safer, you can do damage easier below 3000 rpm's.

erikgsi-

2500 is a little low, 3000 is more like it, but judge it on the characstics of the auto tranny you drive. How low do your RPMS go when accelerating from 1 to 2? What about 2-3? If you don't drop below 3000, why bother to spray that low?

i spray it at 2.5k in first gear so i can keep it going all the way up through the gears. that way i get the most out of it.
hmm when i hit second i guess it drops to about 3k-3.5k after i hit 6k in first. i think ill have to test it today thanks random
