Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

if your torque converter in your auto tranny doesn't lock down till 2200 RPM, you are spraying within 300 RPM of full engine power. That sounds like a recipe for wheelspin.

Give the engine a little breathing room to lay down power and get the car moving before spraying, and you will have less wheelspin problems, and better lauches.

The torque converter lockup point is the key really. I believe the accents Torque converter locks up at 2200 RPM. You just don't want to spray before lockup, or to be safe, near the lockup point.

You can "Punch" the Nitrous at any point, but there should be some sort of control that keeps the Nitrous from spraying below a certian RPM (The torque converter lock point + a few hundred RPM). As long as you wait to spray till after the front wheels are moving you should be just fine.

ExtremePC had a control box that prevented the Nitrous from spraying below 3200 RPM.

www.summitracing.com there are 3 of them, a msd window switch ( only turns on between this and that rpm ) msd rpm switch ( turns on and stays on if above x or y rpm ) and the summit rpm switch, also get the summit a/f meter. not accurate but $30 it will let you know if it is going lean.

Has anyone seen the new Zex controll box and arming switch? I can't wait to see mine. They have led status lights on them now. I'll post a pic as soon as they send it to me. Hopefully by the weekend cuz I'm racing at Norwalk at the summit import show.
