Hyundai Accent Forum The Hyundai Accent Forum. Hyundai's little champ. While the Hyundai Accent and Hyundai Excel may be small, they respond very well to aftermarket modifications and is among the favorites for Hyundai tuners.

Default Whats everyones opinion on this?

I have recently made my SRI a little bit longer.
wanted to know what everyone thinks about it.
i also got a alignment for free, my friend did it.
at his grandpas shop.
it was awesome.
I also have a code thats causing a CEL.
it says air sensor slow response sad.gif
no idea what to do bout that.!?
car was pulling to right a little bit.
so heres the before and after.
I then took a bracket from my eclipse intake

Isn't a 2003 Accent MAF based? Where is the MAFS? That would be causing the code.

Also, making it a couple inches longer doesn't seem to be making it any better. The air wouldn't be any cooler (in fact, probably less air flow) and it created bends that may slow down the air.

Did you remove one of these from the intake? Mass Air Flow Sensor:

I think there would be better results using the stock 45 degree elbow where it normally mounts and turning the main piping around.

Post the actual Pxxxx code. They have different descriptions in different settings. No use in saying Air Sensir since we do not have one of those. I'd guess you are talking about the bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor slow response as per mode online drive cycle testing reporting to mode 3. In which case you should also have a fails status monitor as well.

Like DTN said, it sounds like an O2 sensor. There is no "air sensor slow response" CEL code, but rather slow response in reference to heated o2 sensors. Check what the codes are exactly. P0153/P0133 to figure out which sensor is bad.

whatever you can do for your intake since i don't think a company like AEM has made a CAI for your car is fine with me. the only gripe i have is your power lead running the way you have it. IMO it is very tasteless the way you have by laying the wire over the strut tower going up to where it enters your cabin area.

show some respect for your install of your stereo equipment and youself. route it to where you can access your fuse easily but run the wire behind the fender and into your cabin area. yeah, it takes more time but you will likes the looks of it better and mechanics will not laugh at your vehicleif you ever have to bring it in.

sometimes, you might even get a compliment on how you ran wiring in your engine compartment from a mechanic if you done it to a point where it barely shows and doesnt inhibit their ability to work on your vehicle. i received a "attaboy" for the way i routed all my gauges (oil temp, oil press, water temp) on my car .
