The 94-98 springs will work but they're probably too low of a spring rate. Not enough to cause problems, but enough to negate the advantages of the H&R springs vs. other Accent lowering springs.</div>
Makes perfect sense.

Does anyone know what's sporty about it? Different spring rates? Stiffer dampers? Is there some special consideration if I upgrade the suspension? Would GT suspension be a cheap & easy upgrade for a regular Accent?
Also, GSi sounds way lamer than GT. Does anyone know where I could get a GT logo to replace my GSi?</div>
Go to sharkracing under the tiburon section, they have the GT emblem

Hmm just thought i would give my opinion on this.
I have a 2006 Hyundai accent GSI Lc2 model. I put on a rear sway bar first and found that made the biggest difference of all.
I then wanted a lower stiffer stance so I put Eibach springs on my stock struts since most aftermarket struts were way to expensive for what I wanted out of the car. After putting on the Eibach springs I did notice about .7 to 1 inch drop I have pictures before and after I can post when i'm home. It is noticeably stiffer yet not bouncy I think it's the perfect street car in terms of a tame suspension setup. I don't get a sore back from driving it and it feels very level and neutral(no oversteer and very little understeer) in the corners.
Hope this helped out.
Let me know if you have anymore questions as you're concidering exactly what I was a few months ago.

Ya, thank you. That's pretty much exactly what I want to do. I'm about to order the rear sway (probably the PA Sports bar from kdmstuff.com) + poly bushings for the front bar and then come spring I'll be getting lowering springs (H&R if I can find/afford them). I'll be running auto-x in the summer and want to up the ante a bit but still be in the lowest possible class.
Also, I'm in Ottawa too!

Lucky bastard.
Poly bushings will do that. My old car was poly everywhere (man I miss my Corolla). Apparently some graphite spray before you install will help with the squeaking. But since the new sway bar is thicker, do standard poly bushings still fit or do you have to drill them out a bit?
